This pickguard is soaked and sealed with a Polyurethane finish that protects and preserves the wood and its light color.
Every pickguard is unique and hand made and features a beveled edge and countersunk mounting holes.

Spalted Maple is naturally FRAGILE. The polyurethane helps to strengthen it but it is notoriously brittle on its own and even with the polyurethane it is the most DELICATE product I offer.
